seems a nice place, z.

plant yourself a shade tree.

or buy a big one and have it transplanted.

not all that expensive at all.

we've got a few banana trees in the front now and another unknown tree we planted last night.

i don't want somchais staring in at us as they saunter by so it seems the best option

Pics from last night

we headed off from home about 2.30 and went up ekamai-ramintra in search of grass turf for the garden

there were no stalls round there so we turned left and went as far as laksi roundabout where there were 4 or 5 places selling malaysian and japanese grass

i knew that the japanese grass would be much more difficult to maintain so we opted for the malay stuff. got it for 10 baht a half-square metre. we bought 50 pieces and also got 10 bags of the soil. total was 625 baht

put it in the back of the truck and back to the gaff

all fitted quite snugly under the carryboy lid

the mango tree is looking good!

i cleared all the stuff off the garden, cut those little banana plants in the corner and gave the area a quick rake
